Joyce Gladys LECKIE

LECKIE, Joyce Gladys On Sunday, July 8, 2007, Joyce peacefully passed away after a courageous battle with cancer at age 85. Born in Harrogate, England, May 9, 1922. She leaves behind her husband and best friend George of 60 years, her loving son and daughter John (Lucette Charron) and Pat (Sam Towell) and her adored grandchildren Jeremy, Kyle, Melanie and Kelsea. She will be dearly remembered by Linda Leckie, Betty Wert, Harriet McGregor, her many TOPS girls, Christine and Patsy of Harrogate, England and her many wonderful friends and neighbours. Special thanks to Dr. Inouye and Dr. Lang for their compassion and tender loving care. Family and friends may gather at Pinecrest Visitation Centre (2500 Baseline Road, Ottawa) on Thursday, July 12 from 7 to 9 p.m. A Celebration of Life will be held in the Pinecrest Chapel on Friday, July 13th at 2 p.m. Donations to the Ottawa Regional Cancer Center or the Palliative Care Outreach Program will be greatly appreciated.
