BENNETT, Rodger Suddenly after a short courageous battle with cancer in Carleton Place Hospital, on Friday, June 29, 2007 at the age of 67 years. Rodger Albert Bennett, loving husband of Earlene Carpenter. Beloved son of the late Orville Bennett and the late Mildred Erskine. Loving step-father of Robert (Kathleen), Joe (Linda), Jeff, Bruce (Frances), Sherry Burke (Jim) and Duncan (Debbie). Loving step-grampa of 16 and precious great-grampa of 3. Dear brother of Louise Suffron (late John), Margaret Wilson (John), Ruby Giff (Don), Sterling (Diane), Lorena Devitt (late Bob), Emily Cochrane (Woody), Gwen Spoelder (Len), Harvey (Anne Marie), Gerald (Carolynn). Predeceased by sister Miriam Carruthers, and by brothers Hope, Francis and Morley. Rodger will be missed by several nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews and by his faithful friend Maggie. A memorial service and Orange Lodge service will be held at Christ Church, Burritts Rapids on Saturday, July 21 at 11 a.m Inurnment to follow in the parish cemetery. For those who wish, memorial donations to the Childrens Wish Foundation, Carleton Place Hospital or the Christ Church Cemetery would be appreciated.
