GEERTS, John - Peacefully surrounded by his wife and children, at Bluewater Health Norman St., Sarnia on Wednesday, June 6, 2007, John Geerts, age 80 of Sarnia. Beloved husband of Tena (DeJong) Geerts. Loved father of Susan and Jack, Donald and Laurie, Judith and John. Loving grandfather to Rachelle, Luc, Alexandria, Jordan and Anneke. Dear brother of Jantje and the late Tinus, the late Lambertus and the late Rena, the late Arend and Marchje, Jacob and Pietje, the late Ralph and the late Joan, Meintje, the late Jans and the late Lucy, Ep (Egbert) and Willie, Tinus and Klaasje, Alice, Klaas. Brother-in-law of Jacob and Hazel, Marguerite and the late Peter, Helen and John, Wynne and Gerald, the late Jess, Tom and Sally, Betty and Peter, Mary and Sy, the late Al and Elaine, Willa and Henry, Ida and Henry, Nancy and Gerrit, Lillian and the late John. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. John loved the outdoors, living in the country and was an avid hunter and fisherman. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 9, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 1576 London Line, Sarnia. Interment to follow in Blackwell Cemetery.
