CONNERS, William Earl (Bill) - In the early morning of June 13th, 2007, the world lost a wonderful man. Bill passed away after a brief illness at the age of 78. Dearly loved “Pal“ of Joyce, his wife of nearly 55 years. Bill leaves behind his daughter Laurie (Roy) Villers of McKinney, Texas and his son Bill Jr. (Barb) of St. Catharines, Ont. Two grandsons Ryan (Marlena) Villers of St. Catharines, Ont., and Kyle Villers and his fianceé Vanessa Liddiard of Toronto, Ont. He also leaves a great-grandson Nolan Joseph Villers and another great grandson expected in August, Carson William Roy Villers. He leaves behind two sisters Shirley (Greg) Sullivan of London, Ont. and Carol (Jack) Frankcom of Smith Falls, Ont and a brother; Jim (the late Bernice) also of London, Ont. Bill was predeceased by one sister; Joanne and her husband Bud Young of London, Ont. and by one brother Jay (Susan) of St. Catharines, Ont. Bill is also survived by a brother-in-law David (Gisella) Jones of St. Catharines, Ont. and numerous nieces and nephews. Bill played horseshoes and darts in the Port leagues many years and enjoyed many good times. Bill worked as a transport driver for Direct Winters and later as a driver and heavy machinery mover for Hendries & Co. retiring in 1993. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. His family was his pride and joy and he enjoyed every single moment he spent with them. He will be missed by many and never be forgotten. God Bless You Pal. A celebration of Bill's life will be held on Saturday June 16th at Branch 350, Port Dalhousie branch of the Royal Canadian Legion from 1:30 p.m. - 3:30 p.m. Casual dress. NO TIES ALLOWED! 10700081
