SMITH, Harold Frederick Proud Veteran of World War II, The Korean Conflict and UN Peacekeeper Retired, R.C.A.F. Lifetime Member, 426 Squadron Association Military Flight Engineers Association Suddenly and unexpectedly at Rideaucrest Home in Kingston on Wednesday, June 20, 2007, at the age of 86. Beloved husband of 30 years to Reverend Ruth Smith and by a previous marriage to the late Gertrude Lawrence. Loving father of Larry and his wife Wendy of Ottawa, Dr. Heather Smith and her husband LeRoy Oberten of Taber, Alberta, Jennifer Gorrell and husband George of Oxford Mills, Ontario, James Turner and his wife Allison of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Kate Just and her husband Ken of Belleville and Gillian Nichol and her husband Mark of Comox, B.C. Proud grandfather of Sarah (Sean), Jaime (Jeremy), Patrick, Neale, Elyse, Danielle, Jim, Arden, Erika, Haley, Allan, Shelby and Hayden and great grandfather of Chloe. Predeceased by brothers Cyril, Dick, Ted and Bert and sisters Lil, Marjorie, Grace and Ebe. In keeping with the family's wishes, cremation will be immediate. A memorial service will be held at St. Thomas' Anglican Church (130 Lakeview Avenue), Kingston on Monday, June 25, 2007 at 2 p.m., The Reverend Canon Robert Hales officiating. The family will be in attendance from 1 p.m. A private family interment will take place at White's Cemetery, Trenton later in the summer.
