DUCHESNE, Léo - 1943-2007. The family announces with deep sorrow, his death after a lengthy battle with cancer, at home with his family by his side, Tuesday June 12, 2007, at the age of 64 years. Son of the late Orlando and of the late Marie-Jeanne (née Lavoie) Duchesne. Beloved husband of Lélianne Duchesne (née Leblanc) of Sturgeon Falls. Loving father of Marc (Jacqueline) of Keshechewan, Roch (predeceased), Sylvie Nickerson (William) of Huntsville and Roxanne Duchesne (François Charbonneau) of Sturgeon Falls. . Dear brother of Jacqueline Landry (Lionel), Lucille Bourdeau (Benoit) and Robert Duchesne (Louise) all of North Bay, Claire McIntyre (Gordon), Suzanne Duchesne and Jean Guy Duchesne (Louise) all of Sturgeon Falls. Predeceased by his sister Jeannette Garneau. Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Christian, Mélanie, Camille, Jennifer, Stephanie, Ryan, Sophie, Nathan, Emanuel, Rachelle, Mathieu and Jean. Léo was a businessman in the Sturgeon Falls area for many years.Among others, he owned and operated Duchesne Tire and Auto as well as Duchesne Towing. The family will receive friends at the Nipissing Junction Gospel Hall, 1340 Lakeshore Drive, North Bay, Saturday June 23 2007 after 10;30am. A celebration of Léo's life will be held at 11 am.
