SPITZIG, Gerald “Jerry“ - Peacefully with his family, at his residence in Alvinston, on Monday, June 18, 2007, Gerald “Jerry“ Henry Spitzig in his 78th year. Predeceased by his wife Doris (Wilker)(1998). Dear father of Terry (Jack) MacDonald of Alvinston, Diane (Virgil) Blackmore of Glencoe, Randy (Colleen) Spitzig of Abbottsford, BC, Sandra (Joe Jr.) Pataki of Wallaceburg, Roger (Judy) Spitzig of St. Clements. Loved by his 8 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Also survived by 2 sisters, Marg Zister and Hilda Drury and 2 brothers, Gordon and Don Spitzig. Predeceased by his brothers and sisters, Helen Lambertus, Irene Roth, Mary Widmeyer, Carl, Harold and Lawrence Spitzig. Relatives and friends will be received at the VAN HECK VISITATION CENTRE, 3232 River St., Alvinston on Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9p.m., where the Funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 21st at 11:00am. Rev. Jim Breen officiating. Cremation with interment Alvinston Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or VON (Sarnia-Lambton Palliative Care).
