Anna Thevenot (nee Girouard) Peacefully at the Notre Dame Foyer on Thursday, June 7, 2007, Mrs. Anna Thevenot of Somerset, Manitoba passed away at the age of 93 years and 9 months. She leaves to mourn her passing seven children: Edouard Thevenot, Marcel (Laurette), Leo (Donna), Donald (Louise), Dolores (Bob) VanCauwenberghe, Lina (Grant) Gates, Vivian (Joe) McCombe; one son-in-law Robert Laurence; one daughter-in-law Leona Thevenot; 28 grandchildren, and 54 great-grandchildren. She also leaves to cherish her memory her special quilting partner Julie-Ann Purcha; one brother Delphis Girouard; two sisters-in-law Marge Thevenot and Jean Girouard; and numerous nieces and nephews, relatives and friends. Anna was predeceased by her husband Louis in 1989; three children: Yvette (Aristide) Lafreniere, Rose-Marie Laurence, Therese Thevenot; and by one granddaughter Monique Viol. With respect for her wishes, cremation has taken place. Funeral Mass will be celebrated in the Notre Dame de la Nativité Roman Catholic Church in Somerset, Manitoba on Monday, June 11, 2007 at 2 p.m. with Fr Albert Thevenot and Fr Gabriel Levesque officiating. Interment to follow in the Parish Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba, Box 2248 Stn Main, Winnipeg, MB R3C 9Z9.
