JACOBSON, Anna Ruth, born July 14, 1922 at Duhamel, Alberta, the youngest of Garman and Anna Jacobson's twelve children, died at Foothills Hospital, June 27, 2007. L.O.V.E. was her voice mail password. Love was Ruth Jacobson's personal password to life. Her love came from one source - renewed daily and then distributed freely - and that source? Ruth's Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Never having married, Ruth is survived by one sister, Ellen (Derek) Erskine of Upper Hutt, Wellington, New Zealand, eleven nieces and nephews, eighteen great-nieces and nephews and three great-great-nieces and nephew. Ruth's life was one devoted to family and friends and when she recently entered the hospital, her nieces and nephews surrounded her for the last forty-four days of her life. Her many friends called daily sending words of support and encouragement - only returning the love and caring Ruth Jacobson gave without reservation. Ruth's life has ended but the effects of her love, encouragement and daily prayers continue to be exhibited in the lives of each person she touched. A Celebration of Ruth's life will be held 4:30 p.m., Sunday, July 1 at First Church of the Nazarene, 65 Richard Way S.W., Calgary. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Skyview Community Church of the Nazarene building fund. Published in the Calgary Herald on 7/1/2007.
