EASTER, Martin Bernard - In loving memory of Martin Bernard Easter, 80 years, who passed away Monday July 9th, 2007 at the Extendicare Falconbridge in Sudbury. Beloved husband of the late Donalda Bernadette “Bernie“ (nee Ouellette) (1993) and the late Yvonne (nee Fournier) (2004). Loving father of Bernard “Bernie“ (wife Patricia deceased) of Sudbury and Susan (Richard Dubreuil) of Toronto. Cherished grandfather of Jody-Lynne (Dan), Richard, Martin, William (Lucy) and Mindy and great grandfather of Noella, Joel, Dakota, Megan, Brendon and Jasmine. Loving brother of Donn-Lee Brown (husband John deceased) of Brockville and Larry Easter of Cardinal. Predeceased by his parents William and Gladys (nee Sawdon) Easter and siblings, Marion Burns, Arnold, Harry and Paul. Long time resident of Val Caron, Martin retired from CN Rail in 1982 with 37 years of service as a clerk in the administration department. He loved tending to his huge vegetable garden whose bounty he willingly shared with family and friends. He enjoyed ice fishing on Lake Wahnapitae with his wife Bernie and spending summers at his camp on Ministic Lake. He was an avid bowler and member of the leagues in the Valley and Capreol and acted as vice-president for many years as well as past president of the Pinecrest Playground Association. He was very active in the Valley community as well as in politics. Most of all Martin loved to be surrounded by his family, especially by his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Special thanks to the staff and nurses on the 3rd floor East side of Extendicare Falconbridge. Cremation at the Park Lawn Crematorium. A celebration of Martin's life will be held Thursday evening July 12th, 2007 at 7:30 pm in the LOUGHEED FUNERAL HOME - Val Caron/Blezard Valley Chapel, 1815 Main Street, Val Caron.
