MCKAY, Ronald Ervin Sr. - In loving memory of Ronald Ervin McKay Sr. age 74 years, a long-time resident of Sudbury, died peacefully at home surrounded by family on Wednesday, July 11th. Ron was born and raised in Dunnville, Haldimand County, Ontario in 1933 and moved to Sudbury to seek employment in 1955. Ron worked as a Shift Boss in the Mill at INCO and retired in 1989 after 33 years of service. His greatest interest was in his family and extended to hunting and camping on Manitoulin Island. Ron is predeceased by his beloved wife Wanda McKay (nee Gifford) of 52 years. Loving father of Ronald McKay Jr. of Vancouver, Roderick McKay of Toronto and Richard (wife Claudette McKay) of Sudbury. Cherished grandfather of Matthew and Malinda. Son of Gordon McKay Sr. (predeceased) and Evelyn Rose McKay (predeceased). Ron is lovingly remembered by his brothers Gordon McKay and Skip McKay of Dunnville and Arthur McKay of Sudbury. He is predeceased by his sister Marilyn McKay. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated. Resting at the JACKSON AND BARNARD FUNERAL HOME, 233 Larch St., Sudbury. Funeral Service in the R.J. Barnard Chapel, Sunday, July 15th, 2007 at 1 p.m. Cremation with interment in the Park Lawn Cemetery. (Friends may call 2-5; 7-9 p.m. Saturday and after 12 Noon Sunday). 10740794
