STRATHY, Helen - died peacefully at Northumberland Hills Hospital, Saturday July 21st, 2007. - Helen Franks, daughter of the late Winifred (Simpson) and Harold Franks, beloved wife of the late Stewart Tyrwhitt Strathy. Survived by her sister, Joan Mcdonald (Campbell) of London, Ontario and brother, James Franks (Ruth) of California. Helen will be missed by her stepchildren, Patricia (Strathy) Mackey (Michael) and George Strathy (Elyse) of Toronto and their children, Jonathan, Tim, Arundel, Sarah, Anna, Maeve and Alexandra. Sadly missed by nieces and nephews, Keith, Peter, Christine, Colin, Bruce, Margaret, Helen and John and their children. Helen was a graduate of Branksome Hall and Trinity College, University of Toronto and an interested and involved resident of the Port Hope community since 1972. The family wishes to thank the staff of both the Victoria Residence and the Northumberland Hills Hospital for their care and to express their appreciation to the members of the Port Hope and Cobourg communities who were so kind to Helen. A memorial service will be held at St. John's Anglican Church, 55 Pine St. N., Port Hope, at a date to be announced.
