BEATON, Floyd Mansfield - (Retired, MNR Forestry Technician) - Floyd Beaton died peacefully surrounded by his family at his Powassan home on Wednesday, July 25, 2007 in his 73rd year. He was the beloved husband of Elaine Mary (nee. Ross) of Powassan and the loving father of Norman (Anne) of Powassan, Alex (Marilyn) of Powassan, Larry (Carole) of Nipissing, Steven (Erika) of New Liskeard, and Joe (Carol) of Acton. Floyd was the proud grandfather of 9 grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents Sarah (Bird) and Norman Beaton. Floyd was the dear brother of Rena (Jack Knight) of Bruce Mines, Victor of Ophir, and Chester (June) of Sault Ste. Marie. The Beaton family will receive visitors at the PAUL FUNERAL HOME in Powassan today, Friday, July 27th from 2 to 4 & 7 to 9 pm with a Knights of Columbus Tribute at 8:45 pm. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Father Asisclo Podelino in St. Joseph's Church, Powassan at 11 am on Saturday, July 28th. Interment St. Joseph's Cemetery.
