HOWICK, Gordon - At Norfolk General Hospital, Simcoe on Friday, July 27, 2007, Gordon Howick of Poplar St., Simcoe in his 87th year. Beloved husband of Ruth (nee Winter). Dear father to Douglas Howick (Gerry) of West Lorne, Donald Howick (Ginny) of Brantford, Barbara Faulkner- Whibley (Wayne) of Simcoe and Kathy Lefebvre (Ron) of Simcoe. Grandfather to Robbie, Julie, Tyler, Jason, Missy, Lindy, Michael, Steven, Adam, Dallas and Travis. Gord is also survived by 9 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandson, sister-in-law Gwen Earls of Aylmer and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Charles Howick and Clara Wells, brother Clifford and sisters Pearl Earls, Erie Smith and Gladys Christian. He served overseas with the Canadian Army during World War II. He drove a transport truck for over 40 years retiring in 1986. He was a member of the A.N.&A.F., Unit 255, Simcoe and R.C.L. Br. 79, Simcoe. Friends are invited to call at THE FERRIS FUNERAL HOME, 214 Norfolk St., S., Simcoe on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m where service will be conducted on Tuesday, July 31 at 11:00 a.m. Interment Oakwood Cemetery.
