VAN MIERLO, Anthony Leonard “Tony” - Peacefully at Eastholme, Powassan on Thursday, July 26, 2007 in his 91st year. He was predeceased by his wife Loretta Marie (Geisler) (1918-1999). Tony was the loving father of Elaine Mathieu (Orvald) of Garson, Donald Van Mierlo (Alice) of Calgary, Erma Osborne (Charles) of Powassan, Maureen Singleton (Wayne) of North Bay, Mary Lou Barber (Allen) of Port Loring, Leona Van Mierlo (Paul Weiler) of Trout Creek, Carolyn Hanselman (Russell) of Powassan, Anne Robertson (Charles) of Owen Sound, Jane Van Toen (Robert) of Kenora, Brian Van Mierlo (Cheryl) of Brockville, Bernadette Clouthier (John) of Whitby and the late Teresa Carleton and Art Van Mierlo. He was the beloved grandfather of 28 and great- grandfather of 27. Tony was the dear brother of Bertha Playford of Kitchener, Mary Sowa of Kitchener, Louise McGillvery of Kitchener and John Van Mierlo of Powassan. He was predeceased by siblings Catherine Schlosser, Betty Weber, Henrietta Young and Vincent Van Mierlo. The Van Mierlo family will receive visitors at the Paul Funeral Home, Powassan on Sunday, July 29, 2007 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Vigil prayers at 8:45 pm. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Father Asisclo Podelino at St. Joseph's Church, Powassan at 11 am on Monday, July 30th. Interment St. Joseph's Cemetery.
