SIMON, Maria - Surrounded by her loving family, Maria passed away peacefully on March 25, 2007 at Parkwood Mennonite Home, at the age of 87. Beloved wife of the late Marcel (1972). Dear mother of Betty and her husband Fred Mendler of Mannheim, Richard and his wife Wendy Simon of Kitchener, Michael and his wife Anita of Commanda, and Lonny and his wife Rosemarie of Kitchener. Maria will be missed by nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She will also be remembered by many nieces and nephews. Maria was a long-term resident of The Pallisades, previously known as Benton Towers where she was actively involved in organizing numerous actives and social events. Cremation has taken place. A graveside service to celebrate Maria's life will take place. Details will be published at a later date.
