GUPPY, John Edway Allan - (1956 - 2007) - It is with great sorrow but also gratitude that the Guppy family announces that John's body was recovered on June 26th from Rabbit Lake near Temagami. He had not returned from a wilderness trek he took the first week of January. John was the beloved son of Margaret “Peggy” and the late John Henry Guppy of Temagami. He is predeceased by his sister Maureen and sadly missed by sisters Nancy and Sherry and his two brothers-in-law Ian May and Jason Zeppa. He was a wonderful uncle to Ryan, Jessica, Jasper, Dylan and Gabriel. Many of you will remember John as having an incredibly generous spirit, great sense of humour and a special knack of making people feel good about themselves. He was an avid bushman and promoter of eco-tourism in the Temagami wilderness. The family is very grateful to the local people of Temagami for their continuous search efforts and care and concern during the past many months. Funeral services will be Wednesday July 4th at 11 a.m. at St. Elizabeth's Roman Catholic Church in Temagami.
