MAC DONALD, Ralph - Peacefully, at home with his family by his side in North Bay, Saturday, July 28, 2007. Ralph MacDonald, beloved husband of Margaret Mac Donald (nee Kavanagh) in his 70th year. Dearly loved father of Neilson (Connie), Jeffrey and Greg (Carol Ann). Lovingly remembered by grandchildren Cooper and Carlene MacDonald. Predeceased by his parents Roy MacDonald and Celestine MacDonald (nee Hoffman). Ralph was a Sergent for the Canadian Armed Forces. He retired in North Bay after serving 26 years in the military. Following his retirement, he owned and operated Lakewood Market and Crafts on McIntyre Street and was well known for all of his wood crafts every summer at the downtown Farmer's Market. Ralph had a great love for the outdoors and enjoyed the annual fishing trips to Algonquin Park with his sons and friends. Ralph will take a final trip to Algonquin Park with his family and close friends in the Spring. Very special thanks to the healthcare team at the Sudbury Regional Hospital, visiting nurses, Dr. Cuncins, CCAC, and Father Manuelpillai Soosaipillal. The family will receive friends Wednesday, August 1, 2007 at MCGUINTY FUNERAL HOME from 2-4 and 7-9. Funeral service will be conducted in the Funeral Home Chapel Thursday, August 2, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. Interment of cremated remains at All Saints Mausoleum.
