van BARNEVELD, Bert. At the Glengarry Memorial Hospital on Thursday, July 12, 2007. Bert J. van Barneveld of Alexandria, formerly of Montreal; age seventy-five years. Beloved husband of Nelly van Barneveld (nee Roditou). Loving father of Angela van Barneveld of Ottawa, Lucas van Barneveld (Diane) of North Glengarry and Christina van Barneveld (Brian Duguay) of Thunder Bay. Proud grandfather of James, Matthew, Avery and Owen. Survived by his brother Jim and his sister Dini and predeceased by his parents Jan and Gerry van Barneveld and his brother Cees. We gratefully appreciate all efforts made by the ambulance team, the kindness of the staff at Glengarry Memorial Hospital and special thanks to Simon, Ranald and Hamish. In keeping with Bert's wishes, a private family gathering was held on Sunday, July 15, 2007. Cremation has taken place. As expressions of sympathy, Memorial donations to the Glengarry Memorial Hospital would be appreciated by the family.
