OBITUARY DAVID JAMES BICKNELL 1931-2007 Passed away at the West Island Palliative Care Residence on Sunday, July 15, 2007. Son of the late Mary Davies and Frederick Bicknell. Sadly missed by wife Joanna. Much loved father of Nigel, Janice (Frank) and Sheila, and very special Grandpa to Darcy and Hailey, and grandpup Nelly. Predeceased by brothers Jack (Margaret), Mick and Ken and sisters Kathleen (Tom) and Barbara. He leaves to mourn sister Peggy (George), sisters-in-law Sue and Rowena and brothers-in-law David and Paul in England as well as his many nephews and nieces. Dave came to Canada in 1957 and worked for TCA/Air Canada until 1989. He later joined FlightSafety Canada. Former Canadian champion dart player, Canadian Legion member, and life long member of the National Darts Federation of Canada, he will be sorely missed by former colleagues and his many darts competitors and friends, both in Canada and the U.K. Our special thanks to Dr. Andreea Iancu, the CSSS de Vaudreuil-Soulanges team, and the West Island Palliative Care. Visitation on Thursday, July 19 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at Collins Clarke MacGillivray White Funeral Home, 222 Highway 20, (Cartier Exit 49), Pointe Claire, 514-483-1870. A Memorial service will be held on Friday, July 20 at 2 p.m. at St. James Church, 642 Main Rd, Hudson, 450-458-5897. In lieu of flowers, donations to Centre Action Centre, 2214 rue Dollard, LaSalle, QC H8N 1S6 or West Island Palliative Care Residence Foundation, 265 rue Andre-Brunet, Kirkland, QC H9H 3R4 in David's name would be greatly appreciated.
