BESWICK, Dorothy 'Doree' With sad hearts, we announce Doree's passing peacefully in the arms of her husband on Sunday, July 22nd, 2007 a few weeks after the celebration of her 60th wedding anniversary. Doree succumbed to lymphocytic leukemia after a two year battle borne with grace, humility and serenity. She leaves in sorrow her beloved husband and best friend, John, their daughter Barb Stackhouse (Bruce) their two sons, Phillip and Laurie (Karen), her brother James Cooper (Madelyn), eight grandchildren, one great grandson and many nieces and nephews. She will be missed. Born in Walkerville, Ontario on March 5th, 1920 to Cyril and Sarah Cooper, Doree was educated at schools in Walkerville, Windsor, Roedean School in Brighton, England, Havergal College and the Toronto Conservatory of Music. She was an accomplished musician and creative artist. A resolute, devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother who adored, respected and inspired her children and grandchildren. Doree was a proud and energetic lady, a volunteer, a gracious hostess, tolerant and always in good humour. All are invited to pay their respects at the Blair & Son Funeral Home, 15 Gore Street, W., Perth on Friday, July 27th, 2007 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M. Funeral service will be held in St. James Anglican Church, Perth on Saturday at 11:00 A.M. Interment will be held privately for the family. Flowers gratefully declined.
