LOOSMORE, Robert John Died on Thursday, July 26, 2007 at the Royal Jubilee Hospital in Victoria. Survived by his wife Doreen and sister-in-law Alix Cowie, and in England by sister-in-law Anne-Marie Loosmore, nephew Guy, four grand nephews and several cousins. Born in Spalding, Lincolnshire, England on August 7, 1919 and grew up in Manchester. During WWII, served with the Royal Artillery in England, Nigeria and India. Graduated from Manchester University. Immigrated to Canada in 1949, spent many years in Ottawa as an economist with the Public Service of Canada and retired to Victoria. A Service in will be held at First Metropolitan United Church, 932 Balmoral Road at Quadra Street, on Thursday, August 2, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. Published in the Ottawa Citizen on 7/30/2007
