He joined the Armed Forces and during the course of his distinguished career in the Royal Canadian Corps of Signals he served across Canada including Alert and internationally in Germany, Washington and Egypt. Following retirement, David discovered cottage life and took great pride in the building projects associated with it. He was a member of the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association (AFCEA) and edited the newsletter. As a partner in his consulting firm, Business Information Processors, David successfully employed his programming skills. He enjoyed performing in little theatre, attending plays and symphonies, was an avid cross country skier and kayaker, and was always interested in linguistic, mathematical and scientific challenges. Along with his keen sense of duty and decency, he will be remembered for his dedication to his 10BX exercise routine and his penchant for horrible puns.
