SPROUL, GLADYS T. - The death of Gladys T. (Danford) Sproul of Loch Lomond Road, Saint John, wife of the late Ronald Sproul, occurred on Monday, July 23, 2007 at the Saint John Regional Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Born in Saint John on January 23, 1917, she was the daughter of the late George Albert and Mary Charlotte (Mathias) Danford. She is survived by eight sons, Fred (Valerie), Albert (Deena), Roy (Brenda), Douglas (Donna), Leonard (Debbie), John (Colleen), Murray (Janice) all of Saint John and Paul (Denise) of Nova Scotia, seven daughters, Dorothy Myles, Margaret Atkinson (Doug), Betty Caswell (Jack) all of Hamilton, ON, Mary Nicol (Donald), Jean Harris (Brian), Janet Kirkpatrick, all of Saint John and Jane Garnett (William) of Nova Scotia, daughter-in-law, Marie Sproul of Saint John, forty-five grandchildren, sixty-eight great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Besides her husband she was predeceased by one son, Francis, one grandson, David, brothers, Gerald (Buddy), Kenneth and Robert Danford and sisters, Mary Geldart, Winnifred Bacon, Dorothy Bacon and Rhoda Carr. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Tuesday, 7-9 PM and Wednesday, 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Funeral service will be held at St. James Anglican Church, Lakewood, on Thursday, July 26, 2007 at 11:00 AM. Interment in Ocean View Memorial Gardens.
