Giovina Nina Filice (née Brunone) November 23, 1939 - July 24, 2007 Peacefully at the Henderson Hospital, surrounded by her loving family, on Tuesday, July 24, 2007, in her 68th year. Beloved wife of Attilio for 48 years. Loving mother of Santo and Karen, Frank and Sandra, Suzy and Silvio Napoleone. Cherished Nonna of Elaina, Nicholas, Olivia, Luke, Sophia, Paige and Jade. Loving daughter of Angela and the late Salvatore Brunone of Italy, and daughter-in-law of the late Santo and the late Assunta Filice of Italy. Sister and sister-in-law of the late Umberto and Vincenza Brunone of Italy, the late Santo and Nina Brunone of Windsor, Antonio and Lisa Brunone of Edmonton, the late Mafalda and the late Paolo Mauro of Edmonton, the late Maria and Ernesto Giordano of Italy, Barbara and Stano Berlingieri of Hamilton, Lidia and Eugenio Fortino of Hamilton, Palmo Filice of Hamilton, and Eugenio Filice of Italy. Sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, family and friends in Canada and Italy. Nina was a long time member of the Donnici Social Club, Local 837 LIUNA, and retired from the Catholic School Board. Resting at FRISCOLANTI FUNERAL CHAPEL, 43 Barton Street East (near James), Thursday from 6-9 p.m. and Friday 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Vigil prayers on Friday at 8 p.m. Funeral Mass will be offered at St. Anthony's Church (Barton St. E. and Prospect St. N.) on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. Entombment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Donations to McMaster Children's Hospital would be appreciated by the family.
