LAINE, Leo Kaarl - In loving memory of Leo Kaarl Laine, 81 years of Sudbury who passed away Thursday, August 16th, 2007 at the Sudbury Regional Hospital - Laurentian Site. He was born in Levack and married Helen (Heino). Leo had been a printer at The Sudbury Star having 35 years service, retiring in 1991. He had served in the Canadian Armed Forces during World War II and he was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #564, Lockerby. He was an active member of The Finnish Senior Citizen's Club (Seura Kerho). Leo was an avid reader and history buff. Beloved husband of Helen (Heino) Laine of Sudbury. Loving father of Richard at home. Dear son of Eevert Laine and Signe (Laine) Elgbacka and step father Einar Elgbacka all predeceased. Loving brother of Eira Robinson (Jack) of Massey and Eila Meri predeceased. Special uncle to Gary Robinson (Marie) of Vancouver, Dawna Brown (Rob) of Espanola, Karyn Robinson of California, Marita and Ritva both of Finland. Sadly missed and fondly remembered by great nieces and nephews. At Leo's request there will be no visitation, no service. Cremation.
