ESKRITT, Albert Jonathan - Passed away at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance on Monday August 6, 2007. He was born on the family farm in Ridgetown 74 years ago to his late parents Luke and Ellen (Grant) Eskritt. Albert and his wife Marian (Ford) (Dawson) lived and farmed in Merlin for the past 30 years. One of Albert's passions in life was flying. He was a member of the Flying Farmers and he spent many hours in flight with family and friends in his Cessna plane. Albert is survived by his children Loretta Howey (Brent) of Tillsonburg, Michele Hansen (Denise Bowes) of Brampton, Sandra Gauthier (Richard) of Merlin, Heather Dawson of B.C., Don Eskritt of Ridgetown, David Eskritt (Judy Fraser) of Shrewsbury, Chris Eskritt of Ridgetown, Murray Dawson (Karen) of Chatham, his daughter-in-law Charlene Eskritt of Cedar Springs, sixteen grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren. Also surviving is his sister Mary Ellen Greenway (Allen) of Morpeth and his brother Bob Eskritt of Ridgetown. Albert was predeceased by his son Ron Eskritt and his sister Donna Johnson. Family and Friends will be received at the BLENHEIM COMMUNITY FUNERAL HOME, 60 Stanley Street Blenheim on Thursday from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. Albert's funeral service will be conducted at the Funeral Home on Friday August 10, 2007 at 1 p.m. with Rev. Lloyd Brown of the Merlin United Church officiating. Interment in Greenwood Cemetery, Ridgetown. Friends wishing to honour Albert's life with a memorial donation by cash or cheque are asked to consider the Cancer Society or the Merlin United Church.
