BACKUS, Leslie Weymark (19382007) - Peacefully at Belleville General Hospital on Thursday August 9, 2007. Predeceased by his parents Margaret and Leslie, and his brothers Bill and Dick. Survived and greatly missed by his wife Jean, son Douglas, daughter Tammy (Rob Grieve), and sister Ginny (Patrick Kernohan). Loving grandfather of Harrison, Isabelle and Luc. Loving uncle of Brian, Elizabeth, Campbell, Peter, Sarah, Maggie and Sarah. He will be missed by Sandy and Judy as well as all the Bates family. His life was filled with wonderful friends who will remember him as a fine educator with a passion for life.Family and friends are invited to call at BURKE FUNERAL HOME (613-968-6968) 150 Church St., Belleville on Saturday, August 18th from 1- 2 p.m. Service in the chapel at 2:00 p.m. with the reception to follow.
