FRANSSEN, Pierre Gerard - Peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer, on August 16, 2007 at Parkwood Hospital, London, Pierre Gerard Franssen in his 78th year. Beloved husband of Anne E. Franssen (Swart). He will be sadly missed by his sons Harry and fiancée Rhonda, John and fiancée Cheryl, Pierre Jr. and Carrie Chiswell-Franssen, Paul and his wife Lisa, Rob and his wife Dana. Loving Opa to Melissa, Alan, Johnny, Samantha, Jayson, Nicholas, Joseph, Benjamin, Allie, Emma Leigh, and Harrison. Dear brother of Harry and Anne Franssen, Elly Cattrysse, John and Annie Franssen from Holland, Tony and Willlie, Bill and Mary Anne Franssen, and Albert and Thea Franssen. Predeceased by brothers George and Joe, and sister Maria in the Netherlands, and brother in law Gerard Cattrysse. Will be missed by sisters in law Wilma Franssen and Henny Franssen. Fondly remembered by many nephews and nieces. He was born in Kessel Limburg, Holland in 1930, son of the late Anna Jegers and Peter Franssen. Pierre was a well known accordion player and with his band, he played all over South Western Ontario for 40 years. Friends may call at the ELLIOTT-MADILL KOMOKA CHAPEL, 22568 Komoka Road, Komoka on Sunday Aug. 19th from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral mass to be celebrated on Monday from Sacred Heart Parish, Delaware commencing at 11:00 am with Father Frank Murphy officiating. Interment Sacred Heart in the Fields Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Knights of Columbus Council #10630 or the Catholic Women's League, Delaware, would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy. 10789587
