MOON, Mary Anne (Lisicky) - One who nurtured our souls and enlivened our spirits; a mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister. We are deeply saddened to announce her passing on Saturday, August 4th, 2007 after a brief struggle with cancer at the age of 78. Marion was generous with her time and gestures of kindness, always being there for others with a pot of chicken soup and unwavering support. Her sense of style, optimism, and entrepreneurial spirit led her to open a women's clothing store in St. Catharines and Niagara Falls. In retirement she volunteered at Woodlands Retirement Home, enrolled in art classes, and celebrated the lives and achievements of her grandchildren. She will be sadly missed by her children Deborah (David Boles), Greg (Jo anna Moore), Heather Barber, and Mark (Shannon), nine grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, brother Bill (Delsie) Lisicky and several loving nieces and nephews. She joins in heaven her parents Joseph and Harriet Lisicky, sister Stephanie Hutchings, brothers Frank and Joe Lisicky, niece Shelly Barnai, and son-in-law Lew Barber. She was the glue that held this family together. Her sense of humour and unique perspective served as a constant reminder of what is important in life. Friends will be received by the family at the JAMES L. PEDLAR FUNERAL HOME, 1292 Pelham Street, Fonthill on Wednesday, August 8th from 7 - 9 p.m. A Memorial Service to celebrate Marion's life will be held at Pelham Community Church, 641 Canboro Rd, Ridgeville on Thursday, August 9th at 10:30 a.m. Online condolences may be forwarded through www.pedlarfuneralhome.ca 10771391
