BROWN, James Leonard - Peacefully, after a lengthy illness, with his family at his side at West Lincoln Hospital, Grimsby on August 6, 2007, in his 67th year. Beloved husband of Doreen (nee Howard) for 38 years. Loving father of Laureen Rowson of Grimsby and Keith of Kelowna. Cherished grandfather of Kevin and Clifford Rowson. Also missed by sister Nancy Stewart, and nieces and nephew Amber, Andrea, April and Trevor. Predeceased by his loving parents Keith and Laura Brown, brother Richard and his wife Doris and brother-in- law Fred Stewart. Jim retired from General Motors after 35 years of service. He was an active member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 127, Grimsby for 40 years and Union Lodge No. 7, Grimsby and Rameses Shriners, St. Catharines. A special thanks to Dr. Walelee and the Nurses of St. Catharines General Hosptial and the Nurses at West Lincoln Memorial Hospital. Visitation at STONEHOUSE-WHITCOMB FUNERAL HOME, 11 Mountain Street, Grimsby (905-945-2755) on Thursday from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. where a Funeral Service will be held on Friday, August 10, 2007 at 11 a.m. Cremation. Inurnment at Queen's Lawn Cemetery, Grimsby.
