Viola FRETZ

FRETZ, Viola - Passed peacefully at Northland Pointe on August 3, 2007 at the age of 100. Beloved wife of the late Grant Fretz (1996). Loving mother of Karl and his wife Lorna of Ridgeway, Donald and his wife Bethene of Port Colborne and James and his wife Vicki of Port Colborne. Viola will be dearly missed by her grandchildren Bradley Fretz (Laura), Derek Fretz (Erin), Rodney Fretz (Ruby), Holly Moore (Derek) and by her step-grandchildren Ronald Mater (Kathie), Rodney Mater (Kathy) and Margaret Williams (Robert). She will be fondly remembered by her great- grandchildren Alex, Rachel, Adin, Lauren and by her step-great-grandchildren Julie Schultz (Andy), Michael Mater, Vicky Bassingthwaighte (Andy) and Eric and Mark Williams. Survived by her one brother Reverend Clarence Fretz of Wisconsin, and by her many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents, brother Howard Fretz, brother-in-law Edwin Fretz and her sisters-in-law Elva and Ola Fretz. Viola was a founding and very dedicated member of the Port Colborne Brethren In Christ Church. The family will receive friends at the ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME, 179 Clarence Street, Port Colborne, on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, August 8, 2007 at the Port Colborne Brethren In Christ Church at 10:30 a.m. with visitation one hour prior. Interment will follow at Bertie Brethren In Christ Cemetery. If so desired, memorial donations can be made to the Port Colborne Brethren In Christ Building Fund.
