Michael ABBOTT

ABBOTT, Michael - Passed away on August 2, 2007 in his 64th year after a brave battle with cancer. He leaves behind his loving wife and soul-mate of 44 years Joyce. Loving father of Tracey Hiseler (Ross) and Lesley Long (Steve). Devoted papa to Paige, Sarah, Megan and Kaitlin. He is survived by his siblings Margaret (Derek), Patsy (Pat), Peter (Jill), Carol (Malcolm), and his sister in-law Wendy. He is survived by many nieces and nephews. Mike was born in England and emigrated to Canada with his family in 1975. He was employed by Fraser Ship Repairs and Algoma Central Marine for 25 years. Mike was a very active member of the Royal Canadian Legion Br.# 56 – Port Colborne. His hobbies included playing in the Niagara District Dart League, carpentry, golf and fishing. The Abbott family will receive friends at the ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME, 179 Clarence Street, Port Colborne on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, August 7, 2007 in the Armstrong Chapel at 11:00 a.m. Interment of Ashes at Oakwood Cemetery at a later date.
