KNAFELC, George - It is with great sadness the Knafelc family of Ridgeville announce their loss of George (Izzy), loving husband of Patricia (Doyle), dear father of Kathleen (Dave), Jane (Peter), Paul (Meredith) and Christine (George deceased) and proud and loving grandfather of Marcus, Justin, Kate, Lauren and Henry. Brother of Ed and Evanka (Carl deceased), brother-in-law to Mary Catherine CSJ, Marg (Bob), Helen (Bernie), Phil (Chris) and Jane (Allan). In spite of a heart condition George continued to enjoy life, in particular his interest in farming christmas trees and peaches. George passed away on August 8 at the Welland hospital with family at his side. Visitation on Sunday, August 12 between 2 and 4 pm, vigil at 3:30 pm and 7 and 9 pm at the James L. Pedlar Funeral Home, 1292 Pelham Street, Fonthill. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Alexander's Church, 50 Pelham Town Square (at Station St.) Fonthill on Monday, August 13 at 10:30 a.m. Interment Hillside Cemetery, Ridgeville.
