NOVOSEL George Novosel passed away peacefully at the Welland Hospital on Friday, August 10, 2007 in his 85th year. Beloved husband for 65 years of Barbara Novosel. Loving father of Kevin (Kris), Gerry (Wendy) and cherished grandfather of Grant. He was predeceased by his parents Mike and Kata Novosel, brothers John (Mary), Nick (Ann) and sisters Rose (John Christopher) and Mary (Milan) Polich. George was a Veteran of WWII serving in England and Hawaii and was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 4, Welland. He was employed at Stelpipe until his retirement in 1980 and was a member of The Parish Community of St. Kevin and the Croation National Home Seniors. The family will receive their friends at J.J. Patterson & Sons Funeral Residence 19 Young Street, Welland on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. where a Vigil will be held at 3:30 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated in The Parish Community of St. Kevin on Monday morning at 10:30 a.m. Rite of Committal will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
