William Firth WHITMAN

WHITMAN, William F. Peacefully in hospital, in Perth on Sunday, July 29th, 2007 William Firth Whitman (Veteran of WWII, Saskatoon Light Infantry, member of the Governor-General's Curling Club) in his 94th year. Beloved husband of Anna Paulina (Schneller) Whitman; he was predeceased by their only son W. James 'Jim' Whitman in January 2000, his brothers Lewis, James and Jack and his sister Irene Harrison. He will be fondly remembered by all his family and his friends. Friends may pay their respects at the Blair & Son Funeral Home, 15 Gore St. W. Perth on Wednesday, August 1st, 2007 from 6 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held on the day of their 60th Wedding Anniversary, August 2nd, 2007 in the Chapel at 1:00 P.M. Interment will be held at a later date. All are invited to join in the Blair & Son Family Centre immediately following the service for a time of refreshment and reflection on Bill's life. In remembrance, contributions to the Salvation Army would be appreciated.
