JACKSON, Bertha (nee Morris) It is with deep sadness that her family announces the death of Bertha who died peacefully in her 94th year at Deep River Hospital on August 2, 2007. Beloved wife of the late Morris Jackson and devoted mother of David (Susan) of Ancaster and Roy (Susan) of Ottawa and much-loved ''Nana' to her grandchildren Scott (Morgan), Tim (Laura), Christopher and James. She was the last survivor of her six brothers and sisters. Bertha was brought up in Lower Island Cove, Newfoundland and spent most of her life in Toronto moving to Deep River in her final years where she was among the first residents of the North Renfrew Long Care Centre and a member of the Deep River Community Church. She had a great love of life, enjoyed her family and many friends and was a loving and charitable person. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Valley Funeral Home, Deep River. A memorial service will be held in Deep River at a future date to be announced. If desired, in lieu of flowers, donations in Berthas name may be made to the North Renfrew Long Term Care Centre.
