Frank William PARRY

PARRY, Frank William February 24, 1922 - August 3, 2007 It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Frank Parry at the Ottawa Hospital (Civic Campus) on Friday, August 3, 2007 at the age of 85 years. Frank was born in Ogema, Saskatchewan on February 24, 1922, one of 9 children. Frank served 30 years in the RCAF and the CAF. He was an active and well-known curler out of the Highlands and RA Curling Clubs in his younger days, bringing home many of the regional top honours. He was also an active member of the Hylands Golf Club for many years. Frank is survived by his beloved wife Kathleen (Kay) and his 4 daughters Phyllis (Mike) Grover of London, Ontario, Sheila (Jim) of Ottawa, Gwen (Gary) of Perth, West Australia and Maureen (Dave) of Ottawa, his "number one son" Norman (Kathleen) of Terrace, B.C., his sister Berna Krueger of Regina, Saskatchewan and a multitude of nieces and nephews spread across the world. His legacy will live on in his 10 grandchildren and 4-great grandchildren. People who knew Frank will remember him for his single-mindedness, his passion for politics and his love for his family. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends who loved him. Many thanks to the nurses and staff at the Intensive Care Unit of the hospital for their care and support. Friends may pay respects at the Kelly Funeral Home, 1255 Walkley Rd. (east of Bank) Wednesday from 3 to 7 p.m. Funeral Service Thursday in the Chapel at 10 a.m. Interment Pinecrest Cemetery.
