OBITUARY GAETANA PARASUCO (nee MINGARI) With her loving children and adoring husband surrounding her, she passed on August 3, 2007 at the age of seventy-five with the same grace and dignity that she lived her wonderful life. She was the most beloved wife of Antonio, precious mother of Salvatore (Rosina Salcito), Joseph (Aileen Howlett), Antonia (Ian Fraser), Dominic (Theresa Wilson), Tina (Joe Barreca), Giacomino (Maria Trivissono) and greatly treasured Nonna to Vanessa, Jason, Fabrizio, Sheena, Samantha, Leandra, James, Alessia, Chelsea, Chiara, Gianluca, Ashley, Amanda, Alanna, Giulano, Melanie. She was predeceased by her father Salvatore, mother Concetta and brother Antonio. She set sail from Capizzi, Sicily on January 9, 1957 on Volcania for an eight day voyage with her two young sons to join her husband to make a better life for her family here in Montreal. She will be mourned not only here in Montreal but back home where her family still resides. The family wishes to express its most heartfelt appreciation to their Mother's Doctors, Nurses and Caregivers at the Royal Victoria Hospital. Your dedication to and respect for our mother made her and us feel as if you were treating one of your own. We thank you. We would especially like to thank Mildred for the tender care she gave our mother. Visitation will take place on Monday, August 6 and Tuesday, August 7 from 2 to 5 and 7 to 10 p.m. at Magnus Poirier, 10300 Pie-IX Montreal-North. The service will take place at Eglise Maria Auxiliatrice on Maurice-Duplessis, corner Alexis-Carrel on Wednesday, August 8 at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Gaetana and Antonio Parasuco Liver Disease Foundation at the RVH would be greatly appreciated.
