OBITUARY ALFRED ROBERT GILPIN Veteran WWII (South Alberta Regiment) August 25, 1916 - August 8, 2007 Passed away peacefully at Perth Great War Memorial Hospital. Beloved husband of Joyce Sawyer. Loving Dad to Rhett (Pat), Brian, Joy, Dawn (Bob). Proud granddad and great-grandad to Teresa, Garry, Shannon, Valerie / Tina, Sarra / Chantelle, Chuck, Zoe / Chad, Heather, Janzen, Jake, Anthony / Theresa, Darren, Addison / Kimberlee, Buddy, Kayla, Lucas / Andrew, Tanya,/ Shawna, Saimir, Aiden,/ Scott and Jessica, Jarred and Jennah / and Brittney. Predeceased by brother Leslie and sister Audrey. Al will be missed by many friends and relatives. Resting at Goodfellow's Funeral Home, Parham. Friends will be received on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held at Sharbot Lake United Church on Saturday, August 11, 2007 at 10:30 a.m. Interment of ashes will be held at a later date. Our heartfelt thanks to All-Care nurses Barb and Janet for their devotion and to the compassionate care received from all at Perth Great War Memorial Hospital. In lieu of flowers donations to the Central Frontenac Rescue Unit (OsoWard) would be appreciated as they were a Godsend to us during Dad's illness (Cheques only please).
