Shirley May MCKENZIE

DOUGLAS, Shirley May (nee McKenzie). Born June 21, 1936. It is with heartfelt sadness we announce that our dearest Shirley passed away suddenly on August 9, 2007, surrounded by family and friends. Beloved wife of Bruce Douglas, dear mother, mother-in-law and grandmother of Brent & Valerie Douglas (Emma & Kate), Laura Douglas (Ashley, Tyler & Mackenzie) & Andrew Axiuk, Deanna & Mark LePage (Ryan & Erica), Derek Douglas & Fiona Coll. Sister and sister-in-law of Myrna and Joe Hayes, sister-in-law of Ian & Kathleen Douglas and aunt of Sean & Shannon Hayes (Emmett & Kiera), Shannon Hayes (Daniel & Caragh). She will always be remembered for her selfless love for, and devotion, to her family and many friends, who will miss her very much. She was a longtime member of Briarwood Presbyterian Church in Beaconsfield, and cared very much for her fellow members of the congregation. Thank you to the doctors and nurses at the Lakeshore General Hospital for their loving attention and care during her final hours. Visitation at Rideau Funeral Home (4275 Sources Blvd., D.D.O) Monday, August 13 from 2 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Memorial Service on Tuesday, August 14 at 11 a.m. at Briarwood Presbyterian Church (70 Beaconsfield Blvd., Beaconsfield). In lieu of flowers, contributions to the "Briarwood Presbyterian Church Memorial Fund" (70 Beaconsfield Blvd., Beaconsfield, Qc H9W 3Z3) would be greatly appreciated.
