CHOMA, Karol Zygmunt Survivor of the Siberian Holocaust Veteran of the 8th Army, WWII - Polish Second Corps Knights of Columbus Branch 9742 Friday, August 10, 2007 at the Heart Institute - Ottawa Civic Hospital. Karol Choma age 87. Husband of the late Marie Yvette Lefebvre. Fondly remembered by cherished and adored companion Laura Reynolds. Dear friend of Pauline and Maurice Ladouceur and family. Dear father of John (Maura) of Luxembourg and Kathy (Mark Leighton) of Ottawa. Loving grandfather of Myriam, Emily, Sarah and Daniel. Son of the late Jan and Katarzyna (Ozieblowski) Choma of Poland. Survived by brother August (Halina) of Ottawa and loved nephews and nieces. Predeceased by brothers Josef (Barbara) and Kazimierz and by sister Aniela (Frank Szpulak) of Poland. First Buildings and Grounds Superintendent of Algonquin College. Special thanks to all of the doctors, nurses and health care professionals involved with Karols care throughout the years. Friends may pay respects at the Kelly Funeral Home 2313 Carling Avenue (west of Carlingwood) Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Service Tuesday in the Chapel at 2 p.m. Interment Pinecrest Cemetery.
