HANES, Delbert "Lyall" (Air Gunner WWII Veteran) Lyall Hanes peacefully passed away at the Smiths Falls District Hospital on Saturday, August 11, 2007 in his 84th year. Son of the late Fred and O'Dell (Baldwin) Hanes. Forever loved by his daughter Donna (Ken), sons Robert (Lana), Laurie (Naginder). Loving grandfather of Kim, Scott, Shawn, Elliott. Great grandfather of Brandon, Eric. Loving companion and dear friend of Ruby. Predeceased by a brother Lorne. At Lyall's request there will be no visitation. A private family graveside service will be held at Maple Ridge Cemetery at a later date. In memory of Lyall donations can be made to the Smiths Falls Hospital Foundation or Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated. The family would like to thank the Nurses on the 2nd floor med surge and Dr. M. Horsey for their caring of Lyall.
