SHEA, Bonnie Dougherty August 11, 2007 Peacefully at her home, surrounded by her loving family, Bonnie Dougherty Shea passed away. Bonnie moved to Canada from Bangor, County Down, Northern Ireland. Daughter of Eleanor, the late William McLellan and sister of Wendy (Alex). Bonnie leaves behind her beloved daughters Leanne, Jennifer and Sarah, her grand daughters Kiersten, Reilly and Avery, her former husband and loving friend Michael (Angela) and his daughters Chris, Kelly and Debbie. Bonnie was "special Nana" to Mandy, and of course Molly Dog (woof). Bonnie also leaves behind her cousin Alan, her Aunt Ellen, and her loving friends Brian & Doris, May, Frank & Betty. She also had a special place in her heart for sponsor child Ayesha. Bonnie leaves behind a rich legacy in Ottawa's Irish Community which she helped to create. As founder of the Dougherty Irish Dancers, Bonnie touched the lives of many through her annual concerts which raised money for CHEO. Bonnie's life was made brighter by her many friends, both here and in Ireland especially her colleagues from BNR, Nortel and CAA. Special thanks to Annie, Debbie, Janice, Lynda, Marjorie and Dr. Hudson who made it possible to have her last peaceful days at home. Friends are invited to gather at the Northwestern United Church located at 241 Northwestern Ave. North of Scott St. on Wednesday August 15th at 7:00 pm.
