GILHAM, Robert Frederick James - Peacefully at the Brantford General Hospital on Sunday, August 19th, 2007. Born in Brantford on October 9th, 1928 to the late George Gilham and Rebecca Stillwell. Predeceased by his sisters, Ethel Ramey and Dorothy Abram and brothers Roy and Len Gilham. Survived by his loving wife and best friend for 56 years, Irene; his sons Eric (Linda) of Winnipeg, Alex (Sheila) of Brantford, 4 granddaughters and 1 great granddaughter. After his retirement from White Farm Equipment, Bob started his own specialty printing business, specializing in dog show material until 2000. Bob started his own kennel of Beagles as a young man, became a professional dog handler at shows and then a licensed C.K.C. judge. His ability to judge and mentor was widely respected in the many assignments that took him all across Canada, the U.S. and Australia. Bob was one of the founding members of the Brantford & District Kennel & Obedience Club in 1971 and was the chairman of the club's all breed shows for a number of years. He will be truly missed by his family and friends. Friends will be received at the DENNIS TOLL FUNERAL HOME 55 Charing Cross St., Brantford , on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A memorial service will be held in the chapel on Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. Cremation.
