ELDRIDGE, Mary Elizabeth “Tillie” - A resident of Chatham, Mary Elizabeth “Tillie” Eldridge died at Chatham-Kent Health Alliance on Tuesday August 21, 2007 at the age of 84. Born in Shedden, daughter of the late Lawrence & Mary Kathleen (Gormley) Morin. Beloved wife of the late Stewart J. Eldridge (February 2007) for 67 1/2 years. Dear mother of Cheryl & Neil Wellwood, R.R. #2, Merlin; Charlene & Dave Weber, Chatham & formerly Merlin; Janice & Jim Taylor, Charing Cross; David (Larry) & Jan Eldridge, Chatham; Glen & Kathy Eldridge, Chatham; Neil & Jayne Eldridge, Merlin; Kevin & Deb Eldridge, Chatham; Charles & Kim Eldridge, London and late infant children Karen & Brian. Loving grandmother of 19 grandchildren and their spouses and 19 great-grandchildren. Sister of the late Bill Morin and Laurie Johnston. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Tillie was a retiree of Public General Hospital and volunteered at Meadowpark Nursing Home. Family will receive friends at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Thursday 2:00-4:30 & 7:00-9:00 p.m. Funeral Service at the Funeral Home on Friday August 24, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. with Chaplain Donna Green officiating.
