SIMPSON, Mrs. D.I. (Kitty) - Passed away peacefully the morning of August 22 at her home in the Oakville Senior Citizens Residence. She was predeceased by her husband Arthur Simpson, and by two of her three sisters, Lena Atkinson, (Australia), and Peggy Wilson, (England). Kitty will be fondly remembered by her friends in the Niagara Geological Society, and the Horticultural Society, as well as the S.P.C.A., in the Niagara Falls area. She loved her hobbies, clay crafting, painting pictures, wood carving, and always had a marvelous artistic flare, even into her latter years. She loved to travel, meet different people, and enjoyed taking pictures of all that fascinated her. Her passing is felt in much sadness by her daughter Hilary (Milton, Ontario), and her sons, Hugh, (Wolfville, Nova Scotia) and Duncan, (Golden, British Columbia), her last surviving sister, Molly Staynor, (Brantford, Ontario), as well as many grandchildren and great grandchildren. A gathering of friends to remember this wonderful lady will be held on today Tuesday August 28, 2007, at 1:30 pm at St. John the Evangelist Church, 3428 Portage Road North, Niagara Falls, followed by afternoon tea, at 2:15 in the church hall. Potted plants that can be planted in memory of her, or donations to the Niagara S.P.C.A. would be appreciated. 10801244
