MATHEWSON, EDWARD passed away peacefully at the Douglas Memorial Hospital on Wednesday August 29, 2007 at the age of 76 years. Born in Ridgeway he has lived in this area most of his life. Survived by loving wife Doris of 55 years, children Daniel, Gail Taylor, Randall (Andrea Wick), Pamela Goulet (Ronald), grandchildren Jason and Jennifer Taylor, Lindsey, Pauline and Spencer Mathewson, Kristi and Mathew Goulet, sisters in law Betty Aguglia (Frank), Linda Gouck (James), brother Warren Mathewson. Predeceased by sisters Charlotte House, Eileen Hooper, brothers in law Roscoe House, Bruce Benner. He will be missed by many nieces and nephews. Edward enjoyed the outdoors with his passion for fishing, gardening, bird watching and antiquing. Family and friends are invited to visit at THE FORT ERIE CHAPEL of the DAVIDSON FUNERAL HOMES 21 Wintemute St. on Friday from 4-8 p.m. A graveside service will be held on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at Greenwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
