McGOWAN, Doris Anita - At the Collingwood General and Marine Hospital on Wednesday August 22, 2007. Doris McGowan of Ravenna in her 82nd year. Daughter of the late William and Elizabeth (Kennedy) Vail. Beloved wife of the late Keith Alexander McGowan (2001). Loving mother of Jim of Oakville, Allan of Ravenna, John of Meaford, Kathryn (Kate) of Clarksburg, and Glenn of Banks. Loved grandmother of Kevin and Karen of Oakville, Steven of Clarksburg, Jackie and Nicole of Banks, and Corrine, Janine, Brianna and Casey also of Ravenna. Dear sister of Jack Vail and Leora Blacklock. Predeceased by an infant daughter and brothers Leighton and Lorne Vail. A celebration of Doris' life will be held at 'The Valley Lodge' at Talisman Mountain Resort, Kimberley, on Sunday August 26th from 2 until 4 p.m. A private family service of interment has been conducted at Thornbury-Clarksburg Union Cemetery.
