Thelma May TURNER

Thelma May Baldwin 1911-2007 Thelma May Baldwin, 95, of Moncton, formerly of Hillsborough and Albert, passed away peacefully on August 25, 2007 at the Moncton Hospital. Thelma was born on October 2, 1911 in Albert, the daughter of the late Silas and Meriam Turner. She was a retired school teacher and taught several generations of students throughout Albert and Westmorland Counties. She was a member of St, Mary's Anglican Church in Hillsborough. At the age of 95 she was still living independently. She had many stories about life in New Brunswick throughout the 20th century. She also had a great deal of knowledge and insight on many topics and was happy to sit down and talk to you about any subject you would like to discuss. She will be deeply missed by her son, Derek Baldwin of Toronto; daughter, Katherine Baldwin of Saint John; her sister, Alice James of Halifax; and three grandchildren, Robert, Jennifer and Mark; with many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Scovil Baldwin. There will be no visitation honoring Thelma's own request. A Memorial Service to celebrate her life will be held at the Albert County Funeral Home on September 1st, 2007 at 2pm with Rev. Rob Salloum officiating. Interment at a later date will be at the Hopewell Cemetery, Hopewell Hill, NB.
